Description
Balo’s disease is a rare demyelinating disorder of the central nervous system in which the myelin (the fatty substance covering nerve cells) is damaged.

Typical Age of onset
Balo's disease usually appears in adulthood but childhood cases have been reported.
Symptoms
The symptoms of Balo’s disease vary depending on the areas of the brain that are affected and can include:
Muscle spasms
Paralysis (loss of ability to move a part of the body
Seizures
Cognitive loss ( difficulty processing information with memory or with executive functions
Aphasia (difficulty speaking or understanding speech
High fever
Headache
